update.

hey guys.this is an update to all my vir’s (very important readers)…(clever) people like my eldest sister larzzz, who read everyday and who love me even when i write about stupid, pointless stuff-thanks.last weekend i was asked to go and lead worship at a Men’s Golf Retreat in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was a spactacular time. My dad went with me which made like 18 times cooler. We played golf, ate KFC, did some old songs, some new songs, chowed on Sweet 16 donuts. It was a blast. our team came in second in the tournament by one stroke, rats!but other than that i started writing some new songs this weekend and i’m thrilled  to be writing again.  The song i wrote today is a bit darker. It stems from “Benediction”, the closing track on my latest EP. Its called “The Dying Star” and i cant wait for you guys to hear it i might post a preview soon. Hi there,its super late… like 2:46 in the morning. Its one of those sleepless nights. One that i haven’t had in a long time. So much is going on i just cant think. So let me tell you what’s been happening…a. I signed a record deal with a company called ZOO MOOZIK. nothing big, but now my music is going to be distributed better and more than ever before.b. Im in the process of booking some events this summer. I love traveling and seeing new places and new faces. So its going to be a lot of fun doing some small acoustic venues with some friends. c. There is a Cody Burbage “street team” starting, yea I know… crazy, but its important if I want to spread the word about what im trying to do. If your interested in helping me check out the myspace profile coming soon for that.d. I’m so sad that heath ledger died today. I didn’t know him, I never saw one of his movies but I really, seriously am sad. He seemed like he could have been the next james dean. My heart weeps. I guess its not that much going on, but i hope you all had a great MLK day!love is the greatestCody B 

A Sick Day.

hey peeps,how are you? im doing well…now any way. this last weekend was a nightmare. I thought I was on my way out. ok…maybe not that far but i didn’t feel good. I had a sinus infection of some sort and my mother had informed me that half of my relatives were under the weather as well so i thought there must be many other sick people. So I decided to comfort those who were ill by a “safety in numbers” type Video.  I Hope you enjoy this. It is a bit comforting, a bit educational, a bit gross. ps. i love Ohio State, really, i mean i’m a fan till the end. and i believe that Jesus would be a Buckeye fan also, but i do believe he would agree with me that maybe we need a new coach. having amazing seasons are great, but if you cant perform when it counts…….ill stop therelove-C
